From the begining
When Brian Colgate started the Santa Barbara Fish Market more than 20 years ago his mission was to give Santa Barbara residents direct access to local, healthy, and sustainable seafood. Over the years, his commitment to supporting Santa Barbara's hard-working fishermen and to provide a platform in which the residents and restaurants can have direct access to local seafood has built a community of passionate educated seafood lovers. The new Santa Babrara Fish Market Goleta brings Brian Colgate's mission to new heights by providing a place for the community to learn, connect, and eat Santa Barbara's amazing bounty.

Chef Paul Osborne
Our kitchen and retail operations are helmed by talented Chef Paul Osborne. Paul has made an impressive name for himself here in Santa Barbara, most recently as the Executive Chef at Rosewood Miramar Beach. Paul is not only one of the most talented chefs on the West Coast but he is also an avid fisherman and all-around amazing person. For many years Paul has been a dear friend of the Santa Barbara Fish Market and has been a strong advocate for local Santa Barbara seafood.
